The latest mobile technology is coming to China, and the country is well on its way to meeting the new global standards for mobile phones. The Mi 8 features a stunning design, the fastest charging technology, and extra flexibility for a wider customer base. It also has next-generation AI enhancements and AR capabilities.

Table of Contents

  • Xiaomi 12S Ultra
  • Huawei Mate 50
  • Motorola’s Axon 40 Ultra

Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Xiaomi has rolled out the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, a new smartphone that uses first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processors to minimize heat emissions and power consumption. The smartphone also comes with a 4,680-mAh battery and a 67W fast charging option. It also has two custom Surge chips that help manage the battery’s power. However, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is not yet available in the United States.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a high-resolution camera that has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707. The camera has an f1.9 lens and OIS. It also features a five-megapixel macro/tele camera and a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. The phone also sports a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The camera is also capable of capturing RAW images in 10-bit DNG format. These images will be suitable for editing using programs like Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is one of the best-looking smartphones in China, and comes with a triple rear camera system. The smartphone has a 48MP primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. Moreover, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports fast charging at 120W. In addition, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 water-resistance rating. It also features Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, as well as Hi-Res audio.

Huawei Mate 50

The Huawei Mate 50 is the latest in Huawei’s flagship series of smartphones. The Huawei Mate 50 features support for China’s BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, a GPS-like satellite network, and ships with Huawei’s latest operating system, HarmonyOS 3. The device features a new emergency mode that can keep a phone running for three hours on one percent of its battery. Additionally, the device features Kunlun glass, which enhances its resistance to drops.

The company’s success with the Mate 50 series will encourage other domestic manufacturers to follow suit, which could help cushion the blow of the slowdown in the consumer electronics market. It may even prompt Apple to include a satcom feature in its latest iPhone.

Motorola’s Axon 40 Ultra

The Axon 40 Ultra is a new mobile phone from Motorola that is set to hit the market later this year. It’s not a phone designed for gaming or hard-core work, and it’s not designed for extended periods of time of use. It runs on Android 12 and MyOS 12 software, and the July 2022 security patch is included. However, it does have some flaws.

The phone measures 163.2 x 73.5 x 8.4mm and weighs 204 grams. It also has a front-facing camera and a 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a 71-degree curvature. The screen has a 120-Hz refresh rate and a 400-pixel-per-inch pixel density. A fingerprint sensor is also included.

The Axon 40 Ultra will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and triple rear 64MP cameras. The phone also has an under-display selfie camera. It will be available in May for pre-order, and shipping is expected to begin on May 9.
